Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023

Just like its competitors, Samsung has been announcing its upcoming flagship devices through a virtual presentation since 2021. After three years, the company confirms that it will bring back Galaxy Unpacked as an in-person event.

Although no confirmations were released by Samsung on what will be announced at the said event, Engadget reported that the Galaxy S23 series is expected to launch. They could also announce new Galaxy Book laptops.

Aside from welcoming back the people at the event, pre-order reservation incentives are also set to come back. Through the Samsung Reserve program, customers will get a $50 Samsung store credit and pre-order one device or $100 for two devices.

Users can sign up on Samsung's website or Shop Samsung App to lock in discounts and future purchases from January 10 to February 1.

The event will be held at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco on February 1st this year. Although this will be an in-person event, Samsung will also live stream Galaxy Unpacked through their official website and YouTube channel.

With Unpacked, anything can happen, especially since no confirmations were released prior to the launch date. Samsung could potentially release the Galaxy Tab S9 series or new updates for the Galaxy Bud range. This is why the event is anticipated every year.

Leaked Marketing Materials

Gizmodo reported that promotional and marketing materials for the said event have leaked before the official announcement from Samsung. The teaser features an animation of the phrase "Made for Moonlight," with three phone camera lenses.

Twitter Error

Samsung also accidentally leaked the dates for its Galaxy Unpacked three days ago on its Colombian website. XDA-Developers reported that this was already seen by a lot of people before it was taken down.

Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung has released its flagship devices every year through this event. For this year, this could still be the scenario with them releasing the usual three-device strategy, such as Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

As per Digital Trends, the biggest upgrades from these devices that fans and customers are expecting is the adaptation of individual cutouts for its rear cameras, instead of putting the sensors in a separate housing on the back of the device.

The three devices are also expected to have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, AMOLED displays with 120 HZ refresh rates for all models, 1,750 nits of brightness, and adding satellite connectivity.
