Apple is getting massive speculations regarding its under-display Face ID features, and it centers on the 2024 smartphone coming from the company, the iPhone 16 series. However, this massive information from speculators leaves a significant question for the recently released Dynamic Island that arrived with 2022's iPhone 14 Pro devices.

If Apple is going the under-display route, this means that there will be no longer a need for the pill notch to stay, and only requires a place to put the front-facing camera somewhere on the screen.

According to 9to5 Mac, there is a massive underlying question for Apple at the cusp of its under-display Face ID rumors, and it is for the recently added feature called the Dynamic Island. Apple's current pill-notch features a design that would showcase the Face ID and front camera in an interactive manner, with many applications optimized for it.

However, should the under-display Face ID arrive soon for the public, the Dynamic Island would have one less feature to hold under its pill-notch animations and features.

It is unknown what are the plans by Apple regarding Dynamic Island's future, especially as it would only be present on two iPhones should the company remove it for the iPhone 16.

Apple's iPhone 16 Leaks Now

The next-generation smartphone from the Cupertino company is getting massive leaks now, despite the lined-up release from Apple would be the iPhone 15 for this year. There are numerous speculations regarding the iPhone 16, centering on the under-display Face ID that it will apply for the smartphone and remove from the notch.

Initial rumors also center on Apple's supposed iPhone SE 4th generation for this year which was already canceled by the company, with a self-made 5G chip and finally let go of Qualcomm. In this report, the iPhone 16 is also a supposed recipient of the Apple-developed chip, but there are confusing stories now regarding this processor.

In this new report, there are speculations regarding the arrival of this under-display Face ID, but the Dynamic Island now arrives in a gray area, whether it would stay or go. There might still be a need for the interactive notch when Apple applies the under-display Face ID, especially for the front cameras that would be alone on the top screen.
