The smart home is now the new focus of Apple, and according to speculation and rumors, two products are coming to deliver the company's latest integration for an interconnected experience at the house. These two products include an iPad-like HomeKit which resembles a Google Nest smart display and an Apple TV that combines a HomePod and a FaceTime HD camera. 

Apple Rumors: iPad-like HomeKit like Google Nest

Bloomberg's latest report mentions two devices coming soon from Apple to deliver new technology for the smart home.

First off is the iPad-like HomeKit display, a device that will focus on controlling connected experiences and provide a hub where users can integrate their home technology and more. It can be mounted on walls or magnetic mounts, and it will allow controlling different features at home like the thermostat and lights. 

Moreover, this device would also allow FaceTime calls, and despite looking like an iPad, it would be a low-end device that aims to deliver home integration for the Cupertino giant.

On the other hand, Bloomberg also expands on another device to bring a new flair to one's home. According to 9to5 Mac, the report also centers on a new Apple TV set-top box that would be different from one's usual black box.

In this version, it would focus on the Apple TV that is integrated into the body of a HomePod, the Cupertino company's famous home speaker. 

Additionally, it will feature a FaceTime HD camera, but the rumors did not expand much on what it will do. 

This device has been a project for Apple for several years but suffered setbacks, with claims that the company will not scrap it, but rather continue its development for the years to come.

Apple's Take on Smart Home

The Cupertino giant's main focus for this year may be centered on its usual releases, but its most significant product highly-awaited by the public is the new mixed-reality headset for all. Speculators and people who report on rumors centering on the latest wearable from Apple, but in this release, it will be marketed for developers and professionals only. 

However, massive rumors are spreading at the moment, and they all talk about the next batch of products that would center on home technology. It is known that Matter is beginning to take shape for the world to see, and it focuses on powering the home with the latest integration with devices from Amazon, Apple, Google, Samsung, and more. 

With the rise of Matter and Apple is one of its main proprietors, there are several expectations as to what it will bring to the smart home. These rumors and speculations from the company regarding insider information from Apple center on two new devices to focus on houses, one with a HomeKit display that resembles a low-tier iPad, and another is a new Apple TV top box that is a mix of different devices.
