Variety reports that 5.7 million viewers tuned in to watch its second episode across linear TV and HBO Max, resulting in the largest week-two audience growth for an HBO Original drama series in the network's history.

HBO has made a clever move by making episode 1 of the show available for free on YouTube in its entirety ahead of the release of episode 3 this Sunday.

According to IGN, the nearly 120-minute-long episode was uploaded to Sky TV's YouTube channel (where the show is available in the UK) and will likely be uploaded to HBO's YouTube soon.

In September, the network made a similar move by uploading the first episode of "Game of Thrones" spin-off "House of the Dragon" to YouTube, though the network later removed it for those outside the United States.

Aside from the success of the first season, fans of the show have something extra to look forward to with the upcoming release of episode 3, which will feature the debut of Nick Offerman as survivalist Bill.

Fans of the 2013 game will be familiar with the character, and Offerman's portrayal is sure to be one of the season's highlights.
