The Resident Evil movie franchise is coming to an end, as recent reports claim the final film will begin shooting in August of this year. The film is titled Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and it is expected to bring to a close a confusing storyline that in many places fail to make any sense.

Filming of the next Resident Evil could have begun earlier this year or even back in 2014, but lead actress Milla Jovovich is preparing for the birth of her second child. She is expected to give birth in the next 10 weeks, and after that, she will venture down the path of vigorous exercise to get herself back in shape.

Milla took to Facebook to make the announcement and also share the latest about the coming birth of her next child. Many fans are talking more about Resident Evil than the child, but that is expected, so don't call them heartless. They are maybe just overexcited.

"I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to 'action hero' mode!" the actress shared.

Since 2013, we've been hearing talks of Milla Jovovich and director and husband Paul W.S. Anderson's plans to kick off the final movie in the franchise. Anderson could have been taking his merry time with the script for Final Chapter. He and his team are known to change the story based on feedback from Capcom, the publisher of the Resident Evil video game. We're sure he doesn't want to mess it up since the previous movie faced criticism for being "too action-heavy." The director is, however, happy with the way the storyline has progressed.

When will the film come out?

The year 2016 is when fans should get the chance to see Alice in action for the final time. Wentworth Miller will also return to play Chris Redfield, as all the major characters come together to put an end to all the madness once and for all.
