The iPhone SE's 4th generation may not be canceled after all, especially in this new report by a famed Apple analyst, which claims that the company is looking into its development to debut its budget smartphone back. In a somewhat revitalization of the iPhone SE, there would be significant upgrades that the smartphone will receive in the latest details available.

The upcoming iPhone SE will bring the fourth generation release of the smartphone, and analyst claims that it will no longer be the same looks as before.

Famous Apple leaker and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, announced via his latest tweet thread that Apple is restarting its plans and development of the iPhone SE 4 after information about the company canceling it.

The company is back on the saddle to create its budget smartphone under the SE series after scrapping its creation of a new affordable lineup.

As per the thread, Kuo claimed that this new version would receive significant upgrades for the device, and it would not be the same as it was before.

Kuo previously claimed that Apple had already canceled SE 4's production and development, with Qualcomm largely benefitting from its move to deter from this series.

Apple to Upgrade iPhone SE 4 with the Latest Tech

According to the analyst, one of the upgrades for the iPhone SE 4 would be its OLED screen, which would forego the 4.7-inch size in favor of the 6.1-inch screen similar to the iPhone 14.

Moreover, instead of the Qualcomm-made 5G, it would use the Apple 5G baseband chip, which is 4nm in size and may be the first Cupertino smartphone to sport this tech.

The Apple baseband chip is speculated for the iPhone 16, which will arrive by 2024 to the public. Kuo did not mention when Apple would release the iPhone SE 4.

The iPhone SE Series

The last iPhone SE release from Apple was its third generation which arrived in 2022, and it still sports the iPhone 8 look on its body, being the budget smartphone from the company. Still, it features the latest chip during its time, the A15 Bionic Chip, as well as the 5G module that allows a fast mobile data connection and an upgraded camera.

There were initial rumors that Apple would cancel the SE series to end with the third, for the time being, as the company does not have enough budget and resources to continue its development. Additionally, it does not sell as well as the regular series of iPhones that come alongside it.

Initial claims for the iPhone SE 4's development would take the appearance of the iPhone XR, foregoing the home button and featuring a notch on top of the screen. Additionally, it will feature the latest chip, the A16 Bionic, and the 5G.

Kuo added that this development was back on track as Apple struggles to deliver a new budget phone that is not the SE. Still, it is a good platform to introduce an affordable device, an alternative to getting the latest Apple offers, with new upgrades on the way.
