Mullvad VPN and Tor Browser announced in a new press release that a new app will help bring data tracking protection to their internet experience, and this is with the Mullvad Browser. Released only earlier today, the Mullvad Browser is free to download, for different platforms like Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The Mullvad Browser's features also offer a Firefox extension under the beta testing phase of the app, to help integrate it into a platform that a user already utilizes.

Mullvad received help from the Tor Project's team, centering on delivering a new experience that would be as good as plug-and-play, to install directly on their computers with ease and browse as they would online.

Mullvad VPN, Tor Browser Developed this New App

"We want to free the internet from mass surveillance and a VPN alone is not enough to achieve privacy. From our perspective there has been a gap in the market for those who want to run a privacy-focused browser as good as the Tor Project's but with a VPN instead of the Tor Network," says Jan Jonsson, CEO at Mullvad VPN.

Users may download the Mullvad Browser to try, with the company promising a safe and protected experience on the internet.

Internet Protection and Data Tracking

The majority of the world already uses the internet and its features including the social media platforms which have one's data widely available on the web. There are several concerns regarding data protection and tracking, which is why the VPN's importance is greatly stressed as well, to allow the public to enjoy their use of the internet without any worries.

Mullvad VPN is a known name in the industry, particularly as the Swedish company recently alerted users of their use of the integrated Android "Always-On VPN" that leaks some user data when connected to WiFi or cellular data. The company's report centered on several leaked traffic by this service, alerting the internet giant of what is happening.

There are many apps and browsers which already offer a data tracking-free experience, one of which is DuckDuckGo, and more are joining the cause to help users avoid massive theft from unknown threats on the internet. The Mullvad Browser is the latest addition, centering on the promise of protecting user data, alongside its VPN service to help users.
