Cash App's founder, Bob Lee, is now dead after a fatal stabbing incident.

On Tuesday, Apr. 4, the tech executive was killed near downtown San Francisco. The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) authorities responded to the incident at around 2:30 am.

Although Lee was still taken to the hospital, his injuries were fatal. This led to his unexpected death.

According to NBC News' latest report, the latest incident that took Bob Lee's life is still being investigated by the SFPD's homicide detail.

Many people from the tech industry were saddened by the sudden death of Lee. Via NBC Bay Area, MobileCoin CEO Josh Goldbar shared his statement.

"Bob was made for the new world, he was the quintessential creator, leader, and consummate hacker," he said.

He added that Bob Lee's contributions to Android and other Google products are critical. Aside from this, Goldbar also shared that Lee worked with them at MobileCoin before he passed away.

Goldbar is just among the people who were saddened by Lee's passing. MMA fighter Jake Shields was also shocked by his death.

Shields said that Lee was a loyal friend to him. This just shows how Lee made an impact on a lot of people's lives.

Helping Finding Bob Lee's Killer

The San Francisco Police Department announced that the criminal responsible for Bob Lee's death is still at large. 

Police authorities haven't made an arrest in the case of Lee. SFPD is currently asking for assistance from residents who were able to see the crime. 

The San Francisco Police Department said that people who can share details regarding the fatal stabbing incident are urged to contact them.
