Apple has already resolved the recent outage, which resulted in an unexpected slowdown of FaceTime and iMessage. The Cupertino giant said that only a few users were affected at that time.

Apple has updated its status page that the iMessage and FaceTime outages are now resolved.

Before the fix arrived an hour ago, Apple discovered that its two apps were suffering from an unknown error. It turns out that the error status is persistent, but not to all users.

According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone maker reported that as of Wednesday, May 31, its online system status page detected a FaceTime issue at 7:45 AM. The company left a remark on the problem where "users may be experiencing slower than normal performance with this service."

At the same time, Apple also saw that there was something wrong with iMessage. It appears that frequent stopping of the app happens, and there's no fix yet to be implemented at that time.

The iMessage outage only affected some users, but it does not mean that it should be ignored. Of course, the company needed to quickly address the problem, particularly the inability of the users to use the service.

In the updated report by The Apple Post, the tech giant, fortunately, arrived at a solution to get rid of the issues plaguing iMessage and FaceTime users. The downtime reportedly lasted for just under four hours.

Luckily, the May 31 outage was not that serious to the point that it paralyzed all users. It's not worse compared to what happened to the Apple TV+ users on Tuesday, May 30. When the downtime took place, some viewers were disappointed to miss the season three finale of the most awaited Ted Lasso TV series.

Previous iMessage Outage is Way Worse than the Recent One

Last week, Digital Trends reported that iPhone users were complaining about the annoying iMessage issue that ran for several hours.

Apple immediately looked at the issue to see the possible loophole in the problem. It turns out that people could send text messages to their friends. They also couldn't receive or attach a file either.

Aside from that, some users complained that iCloud's iWork was not working on their end. Apple Photos was also experiencing a brief outage which states that the service "may be slow or unavailable" for the time being.

It's never fun to deal with sudden app outages, especially if you have an emergency message to send to your family, friend, or other companions. Such disruptions can be troublesome at times when you need help from someone.

In these situations, you can try refreshing your device by restarting it to see if it will work in your need. If it does not work, you can also reset your WiFi connection or mobile data to see if there's progress that might happen.
