Once the app detects the user is walking, it will prompt them to activate the On-the-Go feature. Once enabled, the user's camera will be turned off, and the audio stream of other participants will be muted exclusively for that user.

To further assist users during on-the-go meetings, GSMArena reports that Google Meet will enlarge the size of buttons on the screen, making them easier to press and view. This design choice aims to minimize distractions and ensure a smoother user experience.

However, once the motion sensors of the user's device detect that they have become stationary, the app will automatically switch back to the standard view, reactivating the camera and restoring the audio stream.
