Apple Watch: watchOS 10 Beta Features Mood Tracker

The Apple watchOS 10 is a significant software upgrade for its famed wearable, and one of the most iconic announcements at the WWDC was the mood tracker feature called the "State of Mind."

This feature is unique to the Apple Watch. It helps track users' moods and feelings, helping them gain insight into their emotions. It equips users with tools that offer dynamic guidance to take care of their brains.

"Mental health is as important as physical health, and research shows that reflecting on the state of mind can help build emotional awareness and resilience," Apple said.

This mood tracker is accessible via the Mindfulness app, which helps users log their momentary emotions and daily moods to help users determine how they are feeling.

How to Use Apple watchOS 10's to Track Your Mood

First, users must sign up via the Apple Beta Developer site, particularly for the watchOS, to get an early experience with this new feature. Install the necessary Beta files to receive the latest app's features for the Apple Watch.

Next, go to the Mindfulness app and choose "State of Mind." Tap Get Started and log your feelings or moods throughout the day. Users can also add emotions and other personal insights.

The logged emotions can also be tracked via the Health app on an iOS 17-updated iPhone, which can help users to conduct commonly used depression and anxiety assessments.

The Apple Watch and its Features

Apple introduced many of Apple Watch's features to the world several years ago, and it proved to be one of the most iconic wearables in history, especially when paired with an iPhone.

The latest watchOS 10 was said to be one of the most significant changes to the wearable, featuring a new user interface (UI) for users. From its lifestyle features, the Apple Watch proved to be an important tool for health tracking.

Countless testimonies from users show how it helps save lives, either by alerting its owner regarding an unknown condition or calling for emergency responders during a situation.

The watchOS 10 will introduce more Apple Watch features and is poised to be a milestone upgrade for the famed wearable. Its new "State of Mind" is already accessible via the beta, and it will be presenting an accessible and private translation of feelings that someone may not be able to find elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the watchOS 10 will be publicly released alongside new Apple Watch models in September.
