A famous audio technology company known for its iconic headphones, speakers, and more, Senheisser, is now venturing towards health tech developments with its 'All Clear' lineup. These new audio wearables are hearing aids that are meant to assist those who have trouble with their sound perception, ones that no longer require prescriptions to buy.
The company aims to make its new set of hearing aids available over the counter, giving its eligible users a readily-available device that would help them understand and interpret more sounds.

Sennheiser introduced its 'All Clear' lineup via a news release that details the latest tech to its audio wearables, now venturing towards health tech. These new hearing aids would help bring the sense back to those with hearing impairments, meant to be an over-the-counter set of devices for mild and moderate cases.
The new All Clear devices bring two variants to the public, with the first being the All Clear base version which is available for $1,400, and the other is the All Clear Slim, available for $1,500, coming this mid-July.
Sennheiser partnered with Sonova, a company best known for providing hearing aids, with its technology powering the devices from the audio technology company.

No Prescriptions Needed for Eligible Users
"The over-the-counter legislation allows us to bridge a sizeable gap in the hearing devices market by enhancing ready-to-wear solutions with our extensive acoustics and speech enhancement expertise," said Clara Beck, Sennheiser Hearing Category Director.
As mentioned before, these hearing aids are for mild and moderate cases only which means that it is available to purchase without a prescription from their respective doctors. However, it is available for eligible users only.
Hearing Aids for Mild, Moderate Cases
Last year saw the first hearing aids available over the counter, and this means that any eligible adult that needs to wear the tool to enhance hearing or help perceive the sounds may do so whenever required. This opens up access to those who need a hearing aid but do not have prescriptions, allowing them to buy one at any time.
It was a massive breakthrough for the medical community last year, especially as it was previously required to have it prescribed by doctors whenever ordering one.
With the FDA's approval, hearing aids for mild to moderate cases are now available to purchase at any pharmacies or stores that offer them to the public. However, for those who have severe cases of hearing loss, a doctor's prescription is still required before it is made available.
