Virgin Media Launches Gamepad: London's Ultimate Gaming Destination

Virgin Media has leveled up the gaming experience in London with the launch of Gamepad, an incredible gaming destination located at The O2.

Gamepad is an innovative and free-to-use gaming space designed to cater to all types of gamers, offering a variety of gaming areas to suit different playstyles.

Upon entering Gamepad, Eurogamer.net reports that visitors will discover three distinct areas, each with its own unique offerings. The first area, The Cave, is a cozy couch co-op space where friends can gather and enjoy multiplayer gaming sessions.

Moving on, we come to The Stage, a dedicated streaming room that serves as a platform for top gaming talent to showcase their skills.

In partnership with the renowned gaming channel Outside Xbox, The Stage will host live streams featuring some of the most talented gamers in the industry.

Visitors to Gamepad will have the opportunity to witness thrilling gameplay and gain insights from these gaming luminaries.

Lastly, The Playground boasts an impressive array of hands-on gaming stations equipped with the latest gaming technology. The top floor of the Gamepad is home to 16 gaming pods, each equipped with an Xbox Series X console.

Virgin Media says that the project has been created to "remove all barriers around gaming" and is "free of charge for everyone to experience" for "at least 20 minutes at a time." It is already live and will be open seven days a week.

"In recent years there's been a real shift in gaming, with more people than ever coming together to play socially as well as in communities online, and what better place for the ultimate gaming experience than the world's number one entertainment venue, The O2," Gareth Griffiths, Virgin Media O2 partnerships & sponsorship director said in a press release.
