The upcoming football video game from Electronic Arts is beginning to take shape, and a new leak regarding the "EA Sports FC" centers on a fan-favorite and legendary Brazilian football star coming in as an Icon to the game.

"EA Sports FC" is the football game supposedly developed for FIFA, but EA decided not to renew its license with the sports association, thus the rebrand.

EA's next football game is slated for a release later this year, centering on a 2024 season revolving around the world of soccer, with an upcoming Ultimate Team mode joining in with the famous athletes.

'EA Sports FC' Leaks Brazilian Favorite Coming as an Icon

A new Icon is coming to the rebranded FIFA game from EA Sports, and it is said to be the legendary Brazilian footballer Zico, who is one of the new Star Heads on EAFC.

This leak came from a renowned insider, Fut Sheriff, who claimed that the Brazilian star would be coming to the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT). Zico remains one of the most famous Brazilian players who shined during the 70s and 80s and was long-rumored to be joining the game for a long time now.

ComicBook Gaming claimed that Fut Sheriff is a reliable leaker, as it has successfully leaked almost every promo during FIFA 23, which means their sources can generally be trusted.

EA Sports FC's Ultimate Team Icon Heads

Icons added in the Ultimate Team are mostly renowned players of the football world from the past, generally regarded as the best characters in FUT.

If Zico arrives at EAFC, he will join fellow midfielder and Brazilian, Sócrates, a current Icon in the Ultimate Team. However, taking this information with a grain of salt is still important since these rumors may still not be added to the final release.

EA Sports and FIFA Games

In 2022, it was announced by Electronic Arts and EA Sports that it is already ending its partnership with FIFA, which means that it would no longer be licensed to carry the organization's name for its games.

It ended an era for EA, especially as it carried the famed soccer game for a long time, with iconic sports experiences delivered to football fans.

The company's earlier revelations centered on creating "global EA Sports soccer games" that would capture what virtual football has to offer. It then revealed the name of "EA Sports FC" to replace the FIFA name, officially ending their partnership with its last release, FIFA 23, which was released in 2022.

Now that the "EA Sports FC" is already a confirmed title from the company, the world of football is about to get bigger with the many exciting features the company has to offer.

"EA Sports FC" will still carry the Ultimate Team mode where gamers can get the chance to manage their club and choose their roster, with the Brazilian legend, Zico, coming as one of the Star Heads.
