The Honor X50 and X50i smartphones were officially launched on Wednesday in China. Thus, their specs have finally been confirmed. For buyers contemplating whether these smartphones are worth it, check out the confirmed specs of both devices.
Honor X50 Comes With Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Chipset and a 108MP Main Camera
According to GSM Arena, the Honor X50 comes with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and up to 512GB storage. It also has a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ display and a 5,800 mAh battery, which supports 35W charging.
Its back has a 108-megapixel (MP) main camera with f/1.75 aperture alongside a 2MP depth module. It also has a centered punch hole cutout at the phone's top for the 8MP front-facing camera, with an under-display optical fingerprint.
Gizmo China reported that the Honor X50 boasts a 1,200x2,652px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for mobile gaming. It boots on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 and is IP53 waterproof and dustproof.
Honor X50 comes in blue, black, orange, and gradient colors. The smartphone is 7.48mm thick and weighs 185g, and it has no NFC, radio, memory card slot, and headphone jack.
Honor X50i Comes With Dimensity 6020 Chipset and a 100MP Main Camera
Toning down the specs compared to Honor X50, the Honor X50i features the latest Dimensity 6020 chipset, up to 256GB of storage, a 6.73-inch IPS LCD screen, and a 4,500mAh battery, which also supports 33W charging.
According to Device Specifications, it boasts a 100MP dual rear camera setup with LED flash and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It also has an 8MP front camera in front of the phone and a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.
Honor X50i boots on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 and comes in blue, black, pink, and gradient colors. This smartphone has no NFC, radio, memory card slot, and headphone jack. It is 7.48mm thick and weighs 179g.
Honor X50 and Honor X50i Prices and Availabilities
Both Honor X50 and Honor X50i have been launched in two configurations in the Chinese market. Honor X50's 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at 1,399 Yuan (roughly US$193), and the higher-end 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is priced at 1,999 Yuan (about US$275).
On the other hand, the Honor X50i starts at the price of Yuan 1,379 (roughly US$190) for its 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model, and the higher specs variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage will be worth Yuan 1,679 (about US$231).
The smartphones were reportedly up for pre-booking, with sales commencing on July 14. Honor has showcased its commitment to durability and extended battery performance.
The company has offered a unique two-year free battery replacement program for customer satisfaction. Buyers should take advantage of the service period offered by Honor's authorized service centers during the initial sale of these new smartphones.
If the battery capacity falls under 80% during this period, the company reportedly said the original battery would be replaced free of charge.
