Nothing Phone (2) Model Comes with LTPO Screens for Better Efficiency

According to the story by GSM Arena, after being successful in its entrance to the smartphone market, the business is taking things a step further with its Nothing Phone (2) model, which has some changes compared to its first smartphone.

The first difference the report makes is regarding how the new device is smaller than the first one, with the first being a 6.7-inch device and the Nothing Phone (2) being a 6.55-inch device. It was also noted that another major change in the smartphone is with regards to its panel since the larger, new OLED panel was also a LTPO type, allowing for a 1-120Hz refresh rate.

The Difference Between Regular OLED and an LTPO Display

An article by How-to Geek Explains the difference between an LTPO display and a regular OLED. It describes LTPOP as a step forward regarding portable devices, referring to its use on smartphones and wearables as it focuses more on efficiency and improved battery instead of directly noticeable visibility improvements.

The article reports that this is something that isn't available in the Samsung Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23+ series. It's also not a feature available in the Google Pixel 7 or 7a and even Apple's iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus.

The Nothing Phone (2) costs $600 for the base model, which comes with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. This would place it above the Pixel pricing and place it on the same level as Samsung's Galaxy S23.
