Renowned archaeologist, academic, explorer, and hero Lara Croft is confirmed to arrive soon at Call of Duty's Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, with the key figure heading to the massive gun-touting action. 

Call of Duty is known for its massive collaborations with certain characters and franchises that brought favorites to the game, and the renowned Tomb Raider is dropping in soon.

There is a massive presence of Lara Croft in the gaming industry now, following the possibility of a new Tomb Raider game coming from Crystal Dynamics. 

Lara Croft is Coming to Call of Duty Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty's X account posted a short video confirming that the iconic Lara Croft is coming soon to COD games Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2. However, no further details were announced by game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision Blizzard.

In the clip, Lara Croft was seen facing away from the camera, only showing a silhouette of her back and her iconic dual pistols in her titular game franchise.

The collaboration between Activision Blizzard and Crystal Dynamics will bring the iconic Tomb Raider into the COD franchise, with her skin available to use in the Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 games.

The Tomb Raider Is Wielding Her Iconic Dual Pistols

While details are scarce now, Lara Croft is confirmed for her soon infill to Call of Duty's present games, one where she will bring her iconic dual pistols, also a popular weapon choice for COD's current loadouts.

According to ComicBook Gaming, Lara Croft has been imagined in different iterations, with the female character last appearing in the game industry five years ago during the launch of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

It is unknown if the game developer would design her character to look similar to her most recent trilogy or based on other looks she had throughout the years.

Through the years, Lara Croft has trumped gender stereotypes. She has been a significant female figure in gaming, first appearing on the original PlayStation in 1996 in the game titled Tomb Raider. The Tomb Raider game revolves around Lara Croft's adventures, challenges, and more. 

She has also appeared in various collaborations. However, this would be the female protagonist's first appearance on Call of Duty, and she would fit right in as she also fights against nefarious enemies in her franchise.

Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward have already announced their collaboration with the hit Amazon Prime Video to bring Homelander and others from The Boys series to the COD games.

Call of Duty is booming with pop culture collaborations, which it has limitedly done throughout its Warzone history, centering primarily on characters from its games or influencer skins.

And now, Lara Croft is heading to the battle royale games, with the British explorer wielding her dual pistols to use in various missions.
