The more Sony and Insomniac Games showcase Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the more the team reveals the upcoming experiences, with eagle-eyed fans noticing another major Spidey villain, Mysterio. The hopes and dreams for a Sinister Six appearance in the new Spider-Man game are slowly unraveling, with the arrival of the Master of Illusions, Quentin Beck.
While the original trailer for the game only reveals one villain coming, PlayStation's unraveling of new details brought in famed Spider-Man comics villain to the game.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Revealed Mysterio Coming Soon

A gameplay trailer from PlayStation has expanded more on what is to come to Marvel's Spider-Man 2, centering on the expanded open-world map of the soon-dropping title. It was also here where the team confirmed a new villain joining the list of those who will provide both heroes a hard time in keeping the peace in New York, with Mysterio unmasked in the showcase.
The villain is seen wearing a purple coat and scarf combo, a nod to the character's famed costume colors in the comic books.
It was also mentioned by the trailer that visual cues would appear throughout the game, and a symbol of Mysterio appeared as one of the prompts that would lead users to new storylines and quests to explore.

Will the Spideys Be Able to Fight Against Mysterio?
With what PlayStation has explained for the new gameplay experience on Marvel's Spider-Man 2, these new quests will be additional missions for the webheads, and seeing that Mysterio's representation is available, he may be available to fight against.

It has been regarded that this is not exactly part of the main storyline, and this means that Mysterio will be a side quest for both Spider-Men to accomplish in the game.
What to Expect on Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
With more than a month left before the expected arrival of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, its team of developers and Sony have been dropping massive information about what to expect from the game. One of the main experiences here is the upgrade to both the Spider-Men's suits, now featuring web gliders under their armpits to allow flying at increased speeds.
More and more villains are introduced to the game, with the first one being Venom (who remains unknown to which comic book iteration will appear), Kraven the Hunter, and allegedly, Sin Eater. These are already three of the famed villains of the web crawler, and depending on how they would establish the Sinister Six on this story would not matter if it is not comically accurate.
Mysterio is another villain that is added to the roster of villains to expect in the game, being the third official name to join the list, and also the fourth if considering the leaks. Quentin Beck has been an iconic Spider-Man foe in the comics, famously opposing Peter Parker's version, but in the new game, would have him fight the two heroes, with Miles Morales and Parker, teaming up against the sinister forces.
