This 2023 was not the year for Apple's tablet, but reports are now claiming that 2024 will be, as new releases centering on the iPad Pro powered by M3 will arrive soon. Moreover, it will see accessories coming together with the device powered by Apple's latest M-series processor, including an updated Apple Pencil 3, alongside the new version Magic Keyboard for the device.

No new iPad devices were released by Apple in the entire year, and it is already the last month of 2023, with news and reports only pointing out 2024 as the year of the iPads.

A new report by Mark Gurman via Bloomberg claims that the releases from Apple for 2024 will center on the iPad Pro M3, and this is expected to see the latest SoC powering the device. However, it would not fly solo when it is unveiled.

Apple is set to bring an upgraded Apple Pencil 3 with the device, centering on its hardware changes that will support interchangeable magnetic tips, meant to bring different instruments used for writing. 9to5 Mac claims that the iPad Pro may know which tip is attached whenever in use.

On the other hand, Apple is also giving the Magic Keyboard an upgrade, to also go alongside the new iPad Pro, under the codenames R418 and r$28. It will center on a sturdier build thanks to its aluminum frame, making the portable workplace experience better.

What to Expect from the M3-powered iPad Pro

The expectations for the upcoming M3 iPad Pro will center on 11-inch and 13-inch screens with OLED displays. This and the integration of Apple's latest version of the Silicon-based chip debut improved power and performance.

It was also mentioned that this hardware will arrive by the early part of 2024, much like the previous iPad lineup which centers on the first quarter of the year.

Apple's iPad is Coming in 2024

Apple is a known brand, but customers and fans are not all too focused on the iPhone and Mac only, as there is also a massive following for its iPad lineup throughout the years, with these proving to be one of the top essential business and work tech available. The Apple Pencil saw a USB-C upgrade this year, but there are claims that it will soon see an upgrade with the iPads that arrive next year.

It is yet unknown how many iPad devices are getting an upgrade, but alongside the M3 reveal from Apple in its Scary Fast event, speculations came flooding in for which model will see an update. Currently, there are four iPad models from Apple, including the iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Classic, and the iPad Mini, with rumors going around that all will see an upgrade next year.

The arrival of the M3 did not only spark conversations regarding the possible Mac releases next year but also for the iPad devices, with the iPad Pro the top one on the list to get the latest processor. For now, this is the only device that got another affirmation of a release this early 2024, and it will be joined by two accessories including the Apple Pencil 3 and the new Magic Keyboard.
