There are still plans from Apple regarding its addition of the MagSafe feature for the iPad Pro, and reports claim that the company is already working on integrating it on its flagship tablet. Wireless charging is now a feature that many look forward to for smart devices, but for the longest time, Apple did not offer this for its tablets, but it is not really a big deal for various brands now.

Still, this would be a welcome addition to the professional version of the iPad, allowing for the USB-C port to be open for other needs.

report from MacRumors addressed the long-time rumor behind Apple's plans to bring the iPad Pro the MagSafe wireless chargers in its releases, stating that the company is still looking to bring this for all. As per people "familiar with companies that manufacture magnets for Apple products," it will arrive for the next-gen iPad Pro, offering support for this technology.

It is important to note that there are also speculations regarding Apple's next year iPad Pro update that will allegedly come with the M3 chip, its latest SoC from TSMC.

9to5 Mac reported that according to Mac Gurman, Apple is planning to redesign the iPad Pro's rear Apple logo to feature a bigger size, with it being glass and offering a way to connect the magnets.

When is Wireless Charging Coming?

Apple would not design the upcoming iPad Pro as it did with the iPhones to feature an all-glass rear, and this is because that would make the flagship tablet "more fragile" than it is now. It will still feature an aluminum rear body, but through the bigger Apple logo, MagSafe chargers would work and charge the iPad Pro, without sacrificing the durability of the device.

Apple's MagSafe Wireless

MagSafe has been the go-to option of Apple for its wireless charging, and it is a technology that the company developed through the years, beginning with the older Mac models. The good thing is, that the company brought it back for its famed MacBook Pro models first in 2021, after being rumored for its return, offering its users a chance to enjoy the magnetically-attaching chargers.

Since Apple introduced wireless charging for the iPhones back in 2018 for the iPhone 8 series, the Cupertino giant never looked back and has focused on offering the technology in the smartphones. That being said, Apple updated and improved the MagSafe chargers on iPhones on several occasions, and the company also adds updates from time to time for its software.

There have been various rumors about the iPad Pro getting a MagSafe charger for some time now, and people familiar with the new feature have talked about this for previous models. However, it is not yet here, and it remains unknown when Cupertino debut an iPad Pro with MagSafe charging, with its plans still in motion for this wireless technology.
