Language Localization

One of the key highlights of this update is the refinement of language support across the console. Microsoft has diligently ensured that the user interface accurately reflects local languages.

However, some participants might encounter what is termed as "pseudo-loc" - an odd text display that Microsoft says signifies content not yet localized for a specific language or region.

Known Issues Addressed

The patch notes for this update also highlight the known issues identified and addressed. Participants reported intermittent audio glitches and connectivity problems, prompting Microsoft to act swiftly.

Xbox owners encountering such issues are urged to report them through the console's feedback system. This proactive approach allows Microsoft to gather essential data for troubleshooting and further refinement.

This latest update is part of a dynamic January for Microsoft's Xbox division. The month has seen a flurry of activity, from the continuous expansion of Game Pass offerings to the debut of the Developer's Direct livestream. Microsoft showcased highly anticipated first-party titles, including Avowed, Ara, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2.

Beyond gaming, Microsoft's strategic moves have included the acquisition of Activision Blizzard last year and recent rumors hinting at discussions with Sony about bringing Final Fantasy 7 Remake to the Xbox platform (via GameRant).

In Other News

MrBeast earned a substantial $263,000 in ad revenue from his recent video on X, but he believes the payout is somewhat deceptive.

However, advertisers took advantage of the video's popularity, resulting in a higher revenue per view compared to typical experiences. The YouTube personality was skeptical of the figure, calling it "a bit of a facade."

Elon Musk invited Donaldson to post the video as a test on the platform, but he expressed concerns about the revenue covering production costs.
