Apple has previously promised to launch Apple Music Classical in other countries. Recently, the company just launched it in six more countries in Asia including Japan and China.

Launched initially in March 2023 in various countries, Apple Music Classical offers subscribers an extensive collection of over five million classical music tracks. 

From timeless classics to new releases, the app curates an unparalleled musical journey, including hundreds of playlists, exclusive albums, and enriching features such as composer bios and in-depth explorations of key works.

"Everything we do comes down to our deep love for music. Classical is so foundational to the music of all genres but until now there was no great streaming experience available for artists and fans," Apple Music's Global Lead Oliver Schusser said.

Seamless Interaction with Classical Harmony

The app also provides detailed information through editorial notes and descriptions, enriching the overall musical experience.

Global Access and Pre-Order Availability

Residents of the aforementioned regions can now pre-order the Apple Music Classical app on the App Store. In the U.S., a standard subscription comes at $10.99 per month, offering unlimited access to the treasure trove of classical masterpieces.

Evolution from Primephonic Acquisition

In 2021, Apple made a huge move by acquiring Primephonic, a classical music streaming service based in the Netherlands. This acquisition laid the foundation for Apple Music Classical, designed to be the ultimate classical music destination. 

Boasting the world's largest classical music catalog with over 5 million tracks, it seamlessly integrates Primephonic's legacy into the Apple Music platform, according to MBW.

Spatial Audio Royalties Boost
