HoYoverse, the company behind hit RPG titles such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, is reigniting the gaming community's excitement with a recent leak.

As first spotted by Reddit user Alternative-Duty-532, the company recently registered a trademark for a potential new game called 'Star Cloth Valley,' or '星布谷地' in Chinese.

With some speculating the title to be a farming simulator, this move represents a step into uncharted territory for the developer, which is best known for its action-packed RPG experiences.

HoYoverse to Make Its Own Stardew Valley

While details on the new project are scarce, fans are already buzzing with speculation about its genre.

With the trademark filing hinting at a game title that sounds like indie favorite Stardew Valley, many speculate that HoYoverse is venturing into slice-of-life simulation gaming. Comparisons to beloved titles such as Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon are also popular in the community.

Possibly leaked images from 2023, supported by recent developments, fuel the speculation more. Earlier leaks suggested that HoYoverse was working on a casual simulation-style game to which the trademark registration gives credence. Concept images leaked previously also support the idea of a game focused on peaceful, everyday life experiences.

Meanwhile, there have been various interpretations of the English translation of the game's title. While 'Star Cloth Valley' appears to be the most popular translation, fans also suggest 'Starry Sky Valley.'

HoYoverse's leaked trademark hints at a possible farming simulator, diverging from its RPG legacy. Speculation builds amidst the gaming community.

Gacha Farming Simulator

Historically, HoYoverse games used gacha mechanics, which allowed players to acquire characters through randomized draws. This opens the possibility of a gacha element in 'Star Cuckoo Valley.' Whether the new title will follow this trend or deviate from it remains to be seen, adding to the intrigue.

As we eagerly await more information, signs of progress are already emerging. The game's social media accounts have been established on platforms such as Bilibili and Weibo, demonstrating the developer's commitment to engaging with the community and building anticipation.

Despite the buzz surrounding 'Star Cloth Valley,' HoYoverse's immediate focus is on the upcoming global release of Zenless Zone Zero, an urban fantasy action RPG set for 2024. Once the dust has settled on this highly anticipated launch, fans can expect more concrete details about the mysterious new project.
