Another artificial intelligence report about Apple surfaced, centering on the company's advertisements on the App Store which it is now testing with selected partners for this venture. The AI-powered ads from the App Store would center on where to place the said ads, centering on the tool to make this decision for the platform, and determining the best placement for it.

Rivaling companies like Google, Meta, and more already featured AI ads, something which Apple looks to catch up to in the present tech race.

Business Insider reported that Apple is now testing a new development that focuses on AI-powered advertisements on the Apple App Store, improving its business in this area. Moreover, this testing does not limit the tech for the App Store alone, as this could be a step towards expanding the AI-powered service to other applications from Cupertino.

For now, Apple already selected partners with whom it will test these new AI-powered ads, but these companies remain unknown.

This AI-powered ad may be applied to other apps of the company, including the likes of Apple Maps, Apple Books, Apple Podcasts, and more, with a new revenue stream for the company, with AI set to determine its best placement.

Apple App Store's Advertisements

Back in 2022, Apple began showing App Store search ads that offer various partners' products or services even without typing anything here, seamlessly integrating it into the platform. Through this, Apple got to advertise a specific app and make it appear like it was only a part of suggestions.

It remains unknown if Apple will only feature other apps for the App Store and not actual products, as it would be different from the aesthetic of the platform, best known for capturing Cupertino's minimalism.

Apple AI Developments

The growth of AI in the tech industry is massive and rapid, with the Big Tech heading this development with a significant campaign towards integrating it into people's daily lives. This is something Tim Cook addressed last year, with the Apple CEO also hinting that it will come to products in the future, centering on both generative AI and AI in general.

In Apple's case, there is still little AI presence in its products apart from Siri and other renowned processes, also allowing apps and other integrations available to use on its many platforms. However, reports claim that Apple targets running its AI on hardware, meaning that it will be onboard devices, instead of the current practice of deploying these via the cloud.

There are already several developments from within the Apple team regarding AI developments, including its researchers who are discovering new ways of featuring generative AI for various applications.

Now, a new step towards artificial intelligence was taken by Apple, with AI-powered ads under testing on the App Store, growing more of its ad business and its newfound focus on AI.
