A new content offering from Spotify is now rolling out for testing in the United Kingdom. It is called 'Learning Courses, ' which offers educational videos to stream on its platform.

Through this new initiative, Spotify is looking to bring more educational content to its platform that could help people achieve their goals, starting with creating music, building a brand, and more.

The experience is only available in the UK region, but it remains unknown if the service will expand to other regions, including the United States.

The recent press release from Spotify introduces the arrival of Learning Courses to the platform's operations in the UK in partnership with educational tech companies like BBC Maestro, PLAYvirtuoso, Skillshare, and Thinkific. Through this, video content with meaningful lessons and other kinds of helpful videos will be offered via the music streaming platform.

Learning Courses would cover four main themes, says Spotify, including the likes of making music, getting creative, learning business, and healthy living.

Premium and Free users will receive complimentary Learning Courses videos, but users will have to purchase them soon on the desktop to have them available on both mobile and PC apps.

"Many of our users engage with podcasts and audiobooks on a daily basis for their learning needs, and we believe this highly engaged community will be interested in accessing and purchasing quality content from video course creators," said Babar Zafar, VP of Product Development at Spotify.

Spotify mobile users in the UK will find these Learning Courses content in the home feed and browse tab of the platform. For desktop users, it is available via this link to browse or purchase.

Spotify and the Content it Offers

Spotify is known for offering a wide variety of content on its streaming platform, including music. The company is also known for its long-time offers on podcasts from content creators.

Notoriously, Spotify is known for supporting Joe Rogan and his controversial The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, initially having exclusive streaming rights on the platform.

Apart from music and podcasts, Spotify also offers intuitive information that goes beyond the songs and albums of each artist sharing their work on the platform.

Earlier this March, Spotify announced the arrival of music videos that will complement users' streaming experiences, evolving from an audio-only platform to a multimedia streaming service.

The dynamic content offers of Spotify are looking to expand more of what it offers users with its latest update, now centering on ongoing educational experience.

Spotify's Learning Courses will soon start testing in the UK. While it has free episodes for Premium and free, both tiers would need to purchase each video lecture to access it from creators and partner tech companies.
