Having health insurance can be a huge relief, protecting you from unexpected medical costs that may leave you in a large hole of debt or put your financial assets at risk—but paying for health insurance should not have a massive impact on your wallet. Revolutionizing is the health tech company BeniComp, which uses innovation and forward-thinking solutions to manifest a future where people can enjoy happier, healthier lives. Steve Presser, the visionary President of BeniComp, is spearheading this insurance space transformation and is dedicated to propelling healthcare forward and helping one individual at a time.

Presser is a graduate of DePauw University, an independent liberal arts college where he stood out as a Management Fellow and Presidential Scholar. Earning degrees in Art and Economics, Presser furthered his academic career at the Savannah School of Art, sharpening his creative energies and mastering 3D animation. After graduating with a Masters in Fine Arts, Presser, alongside his brother, embarked on a journey to San Diego's clear blue waters to launch his first enterprise—New Medical Web. This multimedia and web design firm flourished for almost two decades in the U.S. before Presser's career shifted.

Realizing his desire to make a lasting impact on this world, Presser changed his life's course toward health, education, and technology. On this journey, he crossed paths with BeniComp, a company reimagining health insurance for employers through prevention and technology. Building a meaningful relationship with the CEO of BeniComp, Doug Short, Presser was inspired by this company's commitment to shifting power to individuals with health data and helping reverse chronic diseases.

BeniComp's health insurance model, the polar opposite of basic healthcare models throughout the early 2000s, advocates "the good side of healthcare" by focusing on the two major obstacles in the insurance landscape: growing costs and chronic disease prevalence. This company expanded from its founding team in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to a new office in Tampa's "Well District."

The decision to expand the BeniComp brand coincided with Presser's decision, along with his wife and their children, to relocate to Tampa to take advantage of the scenic beach life, cultural vibrancy, and evolving healthcare technology scene. Here, Presser and Short joined forces, the two innovators bonding over their passion to shake up healthcare through prevention and technology.

Steering BeniComp's mission, Presser's creative background has proven to enhance his ability to recreate the insurance landscape and defy conventional thinking with his artistic flair. This vibrant company culture highlights Presser's strengths in championing creativity, celebrating success, and ensuring a work-life balance among employees. Presser endeavors to increase employee benefits annually, including any recent healthcare strategies BeniComp designs for their product, IncentiCare. Employees can also enjoy flexible work schedules, telemedicine, mental health, preventative health screenings, and health coaching at no cost to them.

In the competitive insurance field, Presser uses team-building skills to strengthen BeniComp and create an environment where everyone is valued, heard, and seen. Through his dedication to ensuring both BeniComp's product and team remain at the forefront of health insurance, the president envisions a future where health technology and insurance products can build a better future.
