iOS users are set to receive a convenient feature for managing their browsing privacy, as Google Chrome prepares to introduce a one-click browser history deletion feature only available to Android users for some time now.

Google Chrome's Quick Delete Feature Is Coming to iOS

The upcoming Google Chrome on iOS feature is identical to existing functionality on Android devices, where users can delete their browsing data from the last 15 minutes with a single click.

According to the Mac Observer, a flag labeled "Quick Delete for iOS" has been identified, implying that this feature will be available for iPhones soon. The addition of this flag suggests that Google is actively working to expand the quick delete feature to better meet the needs of iOS users.

While the exact release date has yet to be announced, early indications suggest that the feature will be available soon. However, it is unclear whether this functionality will be limited to iPhones or extended to iPads as well.

The rollout strategy might involve a gradual deployment across different devices, offering users a consistent browsing experience irrespective of their preferred device.

Google Chrome is gearing up to introduce its "Quick Delete" feature to iOS users, offering a convenient way to manage browsing privacy.

How 'Quick Delete' Works for Google Chrome iOS

Once deployed, accessing the one-click browser history deletion feature will be straightforward. Users can navigate to Chrome's Three Dot Menu, select "Clear Browsing Data," select the desired time range, and confirm the deletion with a single click. This user-friendly interface aims to help users easily manage their browsing history, giving them more control over their privacy.

Despite the impending release, specifics regarding the time range for the quick delete feature on Chrome for iOS remain unconfirmed. However, it is anticipated to mirror the 15-minute option available on Android devices, providing users with a consistent experience across platforms.

Currently, Chrome for iOS provides several options for deleting browsing history, ranging from the last hour to all data. The one-click deletion feature will complement the existing suite of privacy management tools, catering to users' various needs and preferences.

Notably, the introduction of this feature will benefit users who do not use Incognito mode but value their privacy. By allowing users to delete their browsing history with a single click, Chrome enables them to maintain their privacy without sacrificing convenience or functionality.

Meanwhile, iOS users already enjoy the ability to delete the last 15 minutes of search history within the Google app.
