Last time, "Pokémon" fans were wondering what the next cat design could be for the upcoming "Winds & Waves" games. Recently, a new theory emerged featuring the return of the popular mythical Pokemon.
Fans are curious if Shiny Victini will appear in the Gen 10 region next year. The speculation recently gained attention on Reddit after they noticed unusual patterns involving mythical Pokémon appearances and distributions across recent games.
Fans Notice Strange Pattern Around Victini
Victini remains one of the franchise's most popular mythical Pokémon, yet it has been largely absent from modern mainline releases despite several other fan-favorite legendaries and mythicals returning through events, side quests, and downloadable content.
On Reddit, players pointed out that Victini last appeared during the "Pokémon Sword and Shield" era. Since then, mythical Pokémon such as Keldeo and Meloetta have resurfaced through special encounters or post-game content in newer titles.
Fans also observed that Victini and Celebi are currently unable to transfer into Paldea, while newer mythical Pokémon like Zarude remain fully supported. This unusual exclusion has led some players to believe that Game Freak may intentionally be holding Victini back for a larger future release.
Several theories suggest the mythical Pokémon could appear in rumored Generation 5 remakes, while others believe it may return through future Pokémon Legends-style games or expansion content.
Shiny Victini Speculation Continues Growing
Much of the excitement surrounding the theory involves the possibility of an official shiny Victini release in a mainline Pokémon game. Although shiny Victini technically exists through limited availability in "Pokémon GO," many fans still hope for a permanent in-game method to obtain it on Nintendo platforms.
Community discussions have also referenced previous mythical Pokémon distributions tied to exploration systems and post-game objectives.
Pokémon such as Meloetta, Keldeo, and Volcanion all received special encounters connected to side quests or Pokédex completion mechanics in recent games.
Because of these precedents, many players believe Victini could eventually receive similar treatment.
Fans Continue Requesting Better Mythical Pokémon Access
Beyond the rumors themselves, the discussion exposed how frustrated fans are in seeing Victini getting locked inside the PC multiple times. Many older mythicals remain locked behind discontinued events, expired promotions, or unsupported hardware. This is not ideal for collectors who want to collect or complete a living Pokedex.
A few days ago, fans debated whether Pombon would get a fire/ghost typing.
