Will Smith and Margot Robbie are both set to appear in the Warner Bros. and DC film Suicide Squad. Smith will play Deadshot while Robbie will bring Harley Quinn to life for the first time on the big screen.

Both actors were promoting the new film Focus, but the USA Today interviewer could not shy away from asking questions about Suicide Squad. The film is set for a theater release in August 2016, six months after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

One of the biggest problems facing Suicide Squad right now is the inability of director David Ayer to find a replacement for Tom Hardy, who was originally brought on to play Rick Flag.

From what we've come to understand, Hardy left due to changes in his schedule, and it has caused many fans to wonder if filming would ever continue.

Margot Robbie chose to tackle the issue head on by stating that these things happen all the time in the movie industry, so it doesn't mean Suicide Squad is coming to an end. She also states that a move like Suicide Squad is an enormous undertaking due to several characters being brought to life for the first time.

"This happens all the time," said Robbie. "People act like, 'Oh my god, the movie must be ending!' It's just the deal with movies."

"A lot of the characters haven't been portrayed before so it's a pretty big undertaking," she added. "And it's a big undertaking for the people who are going to play the characters who have been played, like the Joker (to be played by Jared Leto). It's big shoes to fill."

Interestingly enough, Robbie made one big announcement during the interview about Suicide Squad without even knowing it. She said the film has two principal cast members, and we'd like to believe the two she's talking about are herself and Smith.

We have long known that Smith would not have taken this role if the leading position was not his. It could even be the real reason why Tom Hardy dropped out, but that's for another article.

USA Today went on to report that both Smith and Robbie have begun intense training in preparation for production on Apr. 13. We expect to see a lot of images grazing across the Internet of the actors on set when filming kicks off.
