Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has lit up the DC Comics world after claiming the Shazam movie could launch before its announced 2019 date. We always thought the date was too far away, and now it appears someone at Warner Bros. is having similar thoughts.

"It may happen a little earlier than what has been predicted," according to Johnson, who will play the anti-hero Black Adam in the film, in an interview with MTV. "The script is coming in, it's great. Support from the studio has been great. It's just a great opportunity, especially with Black Adam where you can take a guy who starts off as a bad guy, turns into an anti-hero. We can make him vicious, [with] a little bit of winking charm."

We like that The Rock talked about Black Adam being a villain first who ends up becoming an anti-hero in the future. This was not the case for the first iteration of Black Adam, but it changed in the future, where he is now an anti-hero who will work with the Justice League today then with the villains tomorrow.

We're not sure how long it will take Black Adam to become an anti-hero, though we do know there are plans to allow the character to face-off against Superman, Batman, and other members of the Justice League. The Rock said the possibilities are there, so we'd love to find out what caused the face-off, and who will come out on top.

We all know Black Adam is a powerful character, so powerful he can go toe-to-toe with Superman. Not many men in the DC Multiverse can say they can do this, so the threat of this character is very real.

Now, we can't end this talk without touching on Shazam himself. Ever since the announcement, we've only been hearing from Dwayne Johnson about his role as Black Adam, but no word on who might play Shazam. Chances are Warner Bros. has yet to locate the right actor, because Johnson is stealing the spotlight every time he opens his mouth to the press.

Then again, there might not be a Shazam in the movie.
