Motorola's Moto 360 was the most successful Android Wear smart watch to date, with many now looking to the next generation of the smart watch to take up its mantle.

There are a number of things that we should expect from the next Moto 360. Here are five of those things.

1. Moto Maker For Moto 360

The latest rumors suggest that the Moto 360 will become a part of Moto Maker, allowing users to design their own smart watch. Users will be able to choose between gold, silver or black metal for the body of the watch, as well as choosing from the same colors for a metal band or a leather band. Users will also be able to choose from a slim band or thicker options for bands.

While these options are all options that are currently available to the device, allowing for the device on Moto Maker should allow users to better mix and match their options.

2. Improved Design

It is likely that the Moto 360 will get a slight design update, with rumors suggesting that it will look "more like a watch." What this means exactly is not currently known, however it is likely that it will be a little less simplistic than the original Moto 360 and look more like a "traditional" watch.

3. End Of The Black Bar

The black bar at the bottom of the Moto 360's screen is a frustrating yet necessary part of the device. Many of the watche's internals are housed in that section of the watch, making it difficult to be removed. The improved design of the device, however, will hopefully remove this annoying black bar from the bottom of the watch's display.

4. Better Battery

The battery in the Moto 360 is one of its weakest features, with many hoping that this will change in the second version of the device. Currently, the battery in the device lasts a little less than one day for most users. If Motorola could even extend this to a full day of use, then that would be great. Obviously, many users would like a few days worth of battery life, however at this point that is unlikely to happen.

5. Improved Display

The display on the Moto 360 is not a bad one, however it could use some improvements, especially compared to other smart watches on the market. The new LG Watch Urbane, for example, has a pixel density of 245 ppi. This is substantially better than the Moto 360's 205 ppi. Unfortunately, a large display improvement will have an effect on battery life, making it a difficult balance to make.
