Have you ever wondered what would happen if the ideas from movies like Inception and Innerspace were combined into a shooter video game?

I thought I was the only one geeky enough to put any thought into it but, as I learned, I was not alone in my musings as Claptastic Voyage DLC is making my dreams come true before the end of March.

The add-on for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will debut on March 24. Just to make it even more clear, the Claptastic Voyage DLC will not be on the Handsome Collection disc, but it will be available as a download.

Heres the breakdown of what you will get:

The add-on contains the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 so expect that the previous max level of 60 will be raised to a whooping 70. This 10 level addition may seem modest but 10 additional levels means 10x more fun. This will also give each character 10 additional skill points to earn.

All in all, the four piece DLC the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel season pass, which is available for $29.99 does seems like a steep price but then again, who can put value on hours of fun-filled challenges. Good news though, another option is to go for the Claptastic Voyage and Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 bundle that is available for a modest $9.99.

The new campaign deals with Handsome Jacks mission when he learns that the former boss of the Hyperion Corporation known as Tassiter, has skillfully hidden some potent software inside Claptrap's memory. Mercenaries from Pre-Sequel -The Vault Hunters are assigned an expedition into Claptrap's mind in digital form to acquire this specific code for Jack.

As 2K Australia representative explains, "Players will be exploring the deepest recesses and furthest corners of Claptrap's mind ... his hopes, dreams and stupidity."

It seems like an easy enough job but you will soon discover that Claptraps' mind is a labyrinth of unexpected and uniquely quirky things. The character's hologram appearance and form makes maneuvering through treacherous terrains quiet challenging as the bits of code floating off from your characters hologram self can cause damage to the surroundings greatly affecting everything else.

It will be mind bending at first to adjust to the digital glitches and artifacts filling the screen but it does make for a realistic feel of traveling through a software looking arena.

Another component you can play around with will be the arena itself as players are given the chance to tweak different settings for enemy difficulty, gravity, and even settings for the "glitched weapon system" which are weapons that have binary code skins and other special abilities that will certainly be interesting to discover.

So save the date! March 24 is when it will all happen. The Handsome Collection, The DLC for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel package) will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will also include the DLC.
