A new report regarding Harrison Ford's recent crash suggests the vintage plane he was flying had engine problems almost immediately after takeoff. Before this, no one had any idea what the cause of the crash was. Some even blame it on the age of the actor.

According to a brief report from the National Transportation Safety Board, the plane took to the skies from the airport at around 2:21 p.m. but a minute after, Ford's plane was on the ground. It basically suggests that the engine lost power in mere seconds, and it didn't take the aircraft too long to crash at a Los Angeles golf course on Thursday.

We understand that Ford, who is considered an experienced pilot, nearly made it back to base but failed after the plane clipped a tall tree and crashed at the golf course.

"The pilot initiated a left turn back towards the airport," the NTSB report said. "The airplane subsequently struck the top of a tall tree prior to impacting the ground in an open area of the golf course, about 800 feet southwest of the approach end of runway 3."

Ford walked away from the crash site with only minor bruises and broken bones, but that doesn't mean he may fly again. For now, it is not sure that he will, and movie studios are already attempting to clip his wings whenever he's filming, so this crash might cause more problems for Ford than he would have preferred.

When asked if Ford would ever fly again, a source who spoke with the Daily News was unable to comment much on his future flying prospects.

"It's way too early to have a conversation about that," the source said.

"He's on the mend. And it's just amazing how many people love him and have been sending their support," the source added.

We can only wish the best for Ford at this point and hope he'll be around for 72 more lifetimes to come.
