Fans all over the Twitterverse are commiserating over the loss of the actor who played a favorite childhood character for many. People are showing their love and support via social media to share in their mourning of his passing.

On Monday morning, the 36-year old Windell Middlebrooks, better known as Kirby on the Disney's The Suite Life on Deck was found unconscious in his San Fernando Valley home. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Initial reports indicate that there was no foul play involved in the scene and in the manner of his passing.

The news of Kirby's death started to trend on Twitter with posts ranging from shock, utter disbelief, and sadness. Some have said that the news ruined their day simply because they were devastated upon hearing that the beloved character from their childhood is now gone.

Windell D. Middlebrooks was born in Texas and his work includes appearing in popular shows like Veronica Mars, My Name is Earl, Scrubs, Entourage, Cougar Town, Parks and Recreation, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

He also appeared with Dana Delaney in 2011's Body of Proof where we saw more of his good nature and funny quips. But perhaps the best character he portrayed that has endeared him to many, is being the ever funny and ever cool security guard, Kirby, in The Suite Life on Deck with Zach and Cody.
