With Arrow and The Flash being such big hits for CW, we were confident the showrunners would consider creating another series within the same universe. We're not certain what this series will be called, but we do know the writers plan to showcase DC villains never before seen in live action.

Executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, are focusing a lot in this new series, and if everything goes according to plan, it could air its first episode on CW before the end of 2015.

From what we've come to understand, the show will be a miniseries that consists of a team of superheroes. These heroes include the likes of Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The ATOM, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein/FireStorm and Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, aka Black Canary. Wentworth Miller is also expected to make an appearance as Captain Cold, though it's uncertain whether he will play a villain or anti-villain.

Interestingly enough, only half of the FireStorm character has been announced for the show. Furthermore, it appears that someone will kidnap Sara's body and place it within the Lazarus Pit, because right now, that could be the only way for her to return.

Now, in terms of who the three villains are, we have no idea. These villains have never been shown before in live action DC shows, so it is difficult to accurately pinpoint which three the writers could be going after.

"In picking them, it was very much about picking, 'who are some of the most popular characters we've created?' and also, tonally, who went with who? How disparate could we make it?" Berlanti explained. "And we're also introducing these three new characters that we're casting right now ... I think it's really important that we have another female hero on the show, and this one is really exciting. I can't wait for people to find out — we just have to cast it right, as always. And then you want that Rat Pack-y kind of vibe of all this crew hanging out, as disparate and as different as they are."

We should get more information in the coming months about these characters, so stay tuned.
