We have all played the game "Would You Rather," but what would you really do if you really had to choose between your girlfriend of the past or your girlfriend of the present?

Some may choose their first true love, while others may want to stay focused on the good thing they have in the present. But one thing's for sure — some people really dive in the deep in when it comes to matters of the heart.

While this game is usually played in hypothetical good fun, one guy was forced to actually make the decision when two women begged for him to save them.

In the ultimate test of love, a 21-year-old man from China took a plunge in a good ole game of who would you save. Wu Hsia jumped into a river when he forced to decide whether to rescue his ex or his new girlfriend from drowning.

Breaking up is never easy, and Hsia's ex really took it hard. Hsia decided to call it quits with his long-term girlfriend, 20-year-old Jun Tang when he met his current girlfriend, 22-year-old Rong Tsao.

Even though Hsia had clearly moved on, that was not stopping Tang from fighting for her man and proving that she would do just about anything for his love.

So after three months of constantly trying to make things work, Hsia had no choice put to set up a meeting where the three could clear the air. However, what started as a calm meeting quickly escalated when the three met at a place near the river in Ningbo, located in the Chinese providence Zhejiang.

"The girls began arguing and the man's ex-girlfriend felt insulted by a comment made by the new girlfriend, and so she jumped into the river calling for her former lover to save her," says the police.

That's right, the ex jumped into the water so that he would finally come back into her arms once and for all.

However, the current girlfriend wasn't going to let their relationship drown, so she herself jumped into the water.

"The new girlfriend, fearing that he might indeed jump in to save his ex-lover, then jumped in as well and both of them began calling for him to rescue them from drowning," the police adds.

This guy had no other choice but to jump in after them and decide to save one of the women.

His choice? The current love of his life.

Although he didn't save her then, Hsia called his brother to come and rescue the ex while in route to the hospital to take care of his girlfriend's minor injuries.

Both survived the plunge, but the ex is probably still recovering from a broken heart.
