T-Mobile has announced that it will begin taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5 beginning on March 24 for $0 down.

AT&T became the first U.S. wireless carrier to announce its launch plans for the Samsung Galaxy S5. The carrier has just started taking pre-orders for Samsung's latest and highly anticipated flagship smartphone. It was only a matter of time before one of the other three joined the party and that honor goes to T-Mobile.

T-Mobile has announced that it will start taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5 on March 24 online and in-store. The carrier is charging $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.50 or outright for $660. If you place your pre-order before March 31, 2014, T-Mobile is guaranteeing that you'll be one of the first to receive a Samsung Galaxy S5 without waiting in line.

"This thing is so hot we've already seen over a half a million pre-registrations for the Galaxy S 5," said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile.  "That's a lot of very smart people grabbing this opportunity to pay nothing down, save more than a grand over the life of the other guys' contracts, and have T-Mobile pay off every penny of their family's early termination fees. It's a brilliant move."

The Samsung Galaxy S5 offers some nice upgrades when compared to the Galaxy S4 it's replacing. The smartphone has a larger 5.1-inch Super AMOLED 1080p Full HD display  which provides great contrast and true color reproduction. Samsung has moved from using a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip in the Galaxy S4 to a noticeably faster 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm  Snapdragon 801 processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 ships with a 16-megapixel rear camera with 0.3 second capture speed, "Selective Focus", and the ability to capture 4K Ultra HD video. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat and Samsung's new TouchWiz UI, which has been redesigned to take advantage of KitKat's user interface and features. You'll find 16GB of internal storage and microSD expansion slot that will allow users to use up to 128GB microSD cards. Samsung has also added a fingerprint scanner to the Galaxy S5 in response to Apple's iPhone 5s biometric Touch ID feature and a large 2,800 mAh removable battery.

If you're interested in purchasing theT-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5, you'll be able to pre-order the smartphone on March 24 through T-Mobile's online and retail stores.
