With a franchise-worst 17-65 record, the New York Knicks' 2014-15 season was miserable enough.

Now, Carmelo Anthony is adding to the misery. Speaking to the media Thursday for the first time since having season-ending knee surgery, Melo revealed that he second-guessed re-signing with the franchise last summer.

How anyone can possibly regret signing a five-year, $124 million is beyond us...but the Knicks are that bad is what Anthony is saying.

"I tried to keep myself away from thinking about [regrets]," Anthony told New York City media, including the New York Post, at the Knicks' Tarrytown campus on Thursday. "As a human being, those thoughts definitely come into play. You sit down at night and think: 'Did I really make the right decision?' There was one point in the season I was like, it was just cloudy. I didn't have any clarity, and I was second-guessing what I did and the decision I made. After that it was smooth sailing."

Remember, Melo had a chance to sign with the Chicago Bulls, who are in the playoffs, but opted for more money to remain in New York.

Despite being candid enough to disclose his second-guessing of his decision, Anthony vows to be all-in and on board with what's sure to be major rebuilding for the Knicks. He told media that he'll be giving Knicks president Phil Jackson advice on who the team should select in the upcoming NBA Draft and will be ready to help lure free agents to New York this summer with his best salesman pitch.

The Knicks have a 19.9 percent chance of getting the top pick in the draft, following their second-worst record. Only the Minnesota Timberwolves (16-66) finished worse. Good lord, the Knicks have a lot of work to do.
