Following in the footsteps of Verizon and Sprint, T-Mobile is now rolling out the latest software update for the HTC One M9 to address issues with the camera and add a couple of improvements.

The Un-carrier announced in a support page for the HTC One M9 that HTC has approved the rollout of software version 1.32.531.33 last week, and T-Mobile will start rolling out the over-the-air (OTA) updates for the HTC flagship beginning Monday, April 20.

All HTC One M9s on T-Mobile's network are expected to receive the update by Friday, April 24. HTC vice president of product management Mo Versi himself confirmed that the update will start rolling out this week.

The 88MB update is expected to be a minor bump, with no new features in tow. However, users can expect some major improvements to the problematic camera sitting on the smartphone's rear panel. For its latest flagship, the Taiwanese smartphone maker decided to do away with the 4-UltraPixel camera found in the HTC One M8 and put in a 20MP snapper instead.

Users have complained about the new camera, saying that it is incapable of taking decent photos in low-light conditions. With the new software update, though, users can expect to take better pictures, although probably still not as good as those taken on other flagships. Pictures taken with the updated camera on a Verizon version of the HTC One M9 show clearer lines and brighter colors.

The software update will also include improvements to BlinkFeed, HTC's homegrown home screen launcher, and enhancements to the Sense user experience as a whole.

Users who can't wait for the update to arrive on their smartphones can also download the software straight to their devices. T-Mobile recommends that devices must be charged with at least 50 percent of battery life, must be connected to a Wi-Fi network, and must have the necessary 88MB of space to store the new files.

To download the update, users can go to Settings, About, and Software updates and tap Check Now to prompt the device to start looking for the update. Users will only need to follow the on-screen prompts that show up to download and install version 1.32.531.33.
