Have you heard of the Twizzler Challenge?

Following in the footsteps of the Ice Bucket Challenge, the Twizzler Challenge is a lot more fun and requires 100 percent less getting doused in freezing cold water. It follows the same basic format: you're challenged to do it by a friend, and then you do it and challenge someone else.

The Twizzler Challenge is being promoted to raise donations for autism research, April being Autism Awareness Month.

This challenge draws its inspiration from the infamous scene in Lady and the Tramp when the two dogs eat a plate of pasta and wind up sucking on the same noodle.

You basically emulate that scene with a partner, using a piece of Twizzler candy instead of pasta noodles. See? Told you it was more fun.

A handful of celebrities have taken part so far, including a number of talk show hosts, but after Jimmy Kimmel roped Rihanna into taking the challenge with him on his late-night show, he nominated a very unlikely pair to follow in his footsteps. Kimmel challenged Star Wars: The Force Awakens writer/director J.J. Abrams to do it with (of all people) Chewbacca.

To Kimmel's great surprise, Abrams accepted. In a video shot at last weekend's Star Wars Celebration, at a recreation of the "Cantina" set from the original Star Wars on the exhibit floor, Abrams takes the challenge with someone in a Chewbacca costume.

The result is worth seeing for yourself.
