Two upcoming Samsung tablets with very high-resolution 10.5-inch Super AMOLED displays have received FCC approval and are expected to hit the market in the near future.

As the smartphone market began to show signs of saturation for high end devices, Samsung announced late last year that it was going to put major focus on doing to tablets what it did to smartphones. The company's onslaught of Android smartphones pushed the company past Apple's iPhone in smartphone sales and Samsung is readying its new tablets to try and overtake Apple's iPad.

Samsung kicked off its new tablet assault with the introduction of the Galaxy TabPRO and Galaxy NotePRO series in January. Both lines have multiple tablets with varying screen sizes designed to appeal to different users. The company is planning two new high-end 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display equipped tablets.

The Samsung SM-T801 and SM-T805 have just passed through the FCC.  The SM-T801 is a 3G equipped tablet, while the SM-T805 is packing in a 4G LTE radio. The tablets will both use a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

Samsung is believed to be using a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos processor and 3GB of RAM to power the tablets. Users will find 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD expansion slot to further increase its storage. Its camera capabilities will include an 8-megapixel rear camera and a2-megapixel front facing camera for video chat. The tablets will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat and possibly use Samsung's new Magzine UX the company debuted on the Galaxy TabPRO and Galaxy NotePRO. The FCC listing also reveals that the tablet's battery is rated at 30.02Wh at 4.35 volts, which means we're looking at a rather small 6,900 mAh battery. Samsung could make up for this by using the Galaxy S5's new Ultra Power Saving Mode to increase battery life, and the feature has reportedly made the jump from the Galaxy S5 to both the SM-T801 and SM-T805.

Samsung is expected to release both tablets in the near future and the price of the devices is expected to pretty high due to the fact both are using Super AMOLED display. We'll keep you updated on these tablets are more information becomes available.
