Set photos show that Ben Affleck will feature in Suicide Squad in some form—either as Bruce Wayne or Batman—but what about the Joker in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

One rumor claims he will make an appearance in the form of flashbacks.

The Joker, according to a report, will appear in Batman v Superman as part of a flashback to highlight a death in the family. Apparently, the crown prince of crime killed Jason Todd with a crowbar, so this scene is expected to play out.

The report also claims Bruce Wayne has Jason Todd's Robin costume in the Batcave as a reminder of what happened.

We understand that killing Robin is the reason why the Joker has metal teeth in his mouth because he was beaten senseless by the Batman. It is also the reason why he is allegedly in Arkham Asylum rotting away for the rest of his life.

Now, some folks might ask how it is possible for the Joker to be in Batman v Superman since the film has ended production. Well, it is now in post-production, so it is entirely possible for Zack Snyder to shoot a few scenes with the Joker and add it into Batman v Superman before the March 25, 2016 release date comes around.

Of course, post-production is not only about editing scenes take by take and working on CGI to create the magic of special effects. It is also about understanding what aspect of the storyline works and what doesn't, and, whenever necessary, re-shooting crucial scenes and adding in new ones.

Bear in mind that the movie doesn't come out for another 11 months, so there is enough time for the directors to get their heads together and make the relevant changes.

For now, though, fans should take this piece of information as a rumor until Warner Bros. says otherwise. If it is indeed a flashback scene as suspected, then we might not hear anything official about the Joker being in Batman v Superman until after the movie comes out in 2016. In the time between now and then, anything can happen.
