Taylor Swift has yet again shown how she cares for her loyal fans. Just in time for the celebration of Mother's Day, the singer comforted a fan who has lost her mom.

In her open letter to Swift on Tumblr, Kaileen, whose mom died last January, first introduced herself as "iced coffee girl," who needs a hug. Kaileen then proceeded sharing the memories of her late mother.

She told the singer how difficult it was for her to celebrate Mother's Day now that she has lost her mother.

"Today is Mother's Day, a day most people spend with their mothers thanking them for everything they do," Kaileen wrote. "But, for me, I can't spend this day with my mom because she's in heaven. Last January, my mom passed away and a piece of my heart left with her."

Kaileen also told the "Blank Space" singer how the latter has been helping her through this sad part of her life. She said that Taylor's music has helped take her out of her "sad place" as well as help her manage a very hard thing.

She added that while she expects to face another difficult day, she knows that having Taylor on her side would help her get through anything.

The young woman's note appeared to have struck a chord with the Grammy winner, who incidentally admitted last month that her mom Audrey was diagnosed with cancer.

"The results came in, and I'm saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer," Swift told her fans about her mom's condition. "I'd like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private, but she wanted you to know."

In a reply to Kaileen, the 25-year-old singer told her young fan that it is alright to feel the way she does.

"I'm so sorry you can't spend today with her. It's not fair, and there's no reason why you should feel okay about it. No one should ever expect you to feel normal today," Swift wrote ending her note with virtual hugs for her grieving fan.

Swift may not be everyone's favorite singer but she does have a way to show her care and appreciation to her fans. The singer for instance sent a care package to a fan who posted on Tumblr that she goes through a difficult time. She has also performed a private concert for a very sick child.
