Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat video game series, has revealed that DLC character Tanya will be available for Mortal Kombat X in early June.

Tanya first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 wearing standard female ninja leotard, in black and yellow. Unlike other female ninja characters Tanya did not wear a mark and had boomerang as her signature weapon.

Tanya has a different hair style in Mortal Kombat X and her clothing style is also different. While the color scheme of her dress is the same, she is also wearing gauntlets and an Egyptian necklace. Tanya is also showing less skin than her previous appearances. She'll also get a new weapon, the naginata, in Mortal Kombat X.

Boon was asked by a fan about the arrival of Tanya on Twitter and Boon confirmed the estimated arrival time of Tanya DLC.

Tanya is the second of the DLC characters of Mortal Kombat X after Jason Voorhees, who was released in early May this year. The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack contains four DLC packs, which will be released throughout this year.

Apart from Tanya and Jason, Predator and Tremor will also appear as playable DLC characters. However, a release date for Predator and Tremor remains unknown. After Tanya, gamers may have to wait a few weeks to get another DLC character.

The game is currently available on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PCs. Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360 are expected to release this summer.
