Apple's much publicized and confusing launch of its Apple Watch smartwatch is showing signs of improvement. Apple's online store is now posting more reasonable shipping times on virtually all Apple Watch models.

The limited availability of the Apple Watch has reportedly been due to a faulty taptic engine the company uses in the device to interact with users.

The problem is believed to have been resolved, and Apple CEO Tim Cook recently revealed that Apple retail stores would carry stock of the smartwatch in June.

A new report also indicates that Apple Watch shipping times have improved dramatically on new orders placed via Apple's online store. Almost all Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and pricey gold Apple Watch Edition are now pointing to a shipping availability of two to three weeks.

Some customers have also seen their shipping times reduced while other customers have received earlier-than-expected deliveries. Shipping times for Apple Watch bands has also improved. The Milanese Loop, Sport, Leather Loop, Classic Buckle, and Link Bracelet are all shipping within a week of placing an order via Apple's online store.

Apple still hasn't publicly announced how many Apple Watch devices it has sold, but the company could reveal that at its WWDC event in June. The company has already confirmed it will preview an Apple Watch SDK that will allow native third-party apps to run on the device. Apple will also preview iOS 9 and an updated version of its Mac OS X operating system.
