Best Buy is offering the iPhone 6 for just $1 on a two-year contract. Just trade in an old iPhone 5 and get a trade-in gift card that can be used to buy the 16GB model of iPhone 6 for only a dollar.

Apple launched the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in September 2014 and the handset has attracted millions of smartphone lovers. The handset is normally available for $199 on a two-year contract from various U.S. carriers but Best Buy is offering a very attractive deal for the iPhone 6 that may entice even more customers.

"Get the iPhone 6 16GB for $1 with 2-year agreement for Verizon Wireless or Sprint when you trade in a working iPhone 5 and use your trade-in gift card toward the purchase of an iPhone 6 16GB," stated Best Buy.

The latest trade-in offer on iPhone 6 is valid for a limited time period from May 30 this year through to June 20 this year. A customer who wants to take advantage of the offer will have to sign a two-year agreement with either Sprint or Verizon.

The Best Buy deal may be ideal for customers who own an iPhone 5 and looking for an upgrade to the iPhone 6. However, customers who do not have an iPhone 5 will still have to splash $199 to buy a brand new iPhone 6 (16GB) from Sprint or Verizon on a two-year contract.

Many people like saving a lot of data on their smartphones such as photos, music, videos and more. The iPhone 6 is available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage capacities and users do not have the option of expanding the memory using a microSD card.

Best Buy is offering just the 16GB version of the handset as part of the trade-in deal, which means customers looking for a higher storage capacity iPhone 6 may not be interested in the offer.
