Users have reported that some quick settings toggles on their Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones have gone missing, as seen in posts of confusion and anger in online forums.

Thankfully, Samsung was able to take note of the situation, and has released a solution to the sudden problem.

Users can now download and install the QuickPanel Restore app, which has been released by Samsung through the Galaxy Apps store. The sole purpose of the app is to bring back the toggles that have gone missing.

The toggle for mobile data was among the ones reported to have suddenly gone missing, without the users even installing or downloading anything into their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones, as suggested to be a possible cause by a customer service representative of Samsung. Other toggles reportedly affected by the glitch include toggles for mobile hotspots and private hotspots.

There were some workarounds presented that could allow users to switch on or off their mobile data, though the methods were nowhere near as convenient and fast to use compared to the missing toggles. The workarounds, however, did give users an option while they waited for the fix to come, which did come quickly.

Upon opening the QuickPanel Restore app, users are only presented with one option, namely Restore. Once users initiate the Restore process, they are also provided with an option through a popup notification to also uninstall the QuickPanel Restore app, which is a nice touch implemented by Samsung as users will most likely not keep it on their smartphones once the bug is fixed.

Samsung instantly confirmed the issue once users complained about it online, claiming that the problem is with the software of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. A Samsung customer service representative told one affected user that the issue had been escalated to a developer team of the company, which was able to release the QuickPanel Restore app to fix the issue.

Samsung, however, has not released an official statement about the problem regarding what in the software of the smartphones caused the toggles to go missing. Nevertheless, with the company's release of the QuickPanel Restore app, users can finally have their quick settings toggles back.
