It appears as if Marvel is planning to bring Beyoncé into its superhero universe, but who could the pop star turn out to be should this rumor becomes reality? Let's try and find out.

According to an unnamed Disney exec. who spoke with Capital FM, they would love to have Beyoncé as part of the Marvel team of heroes, though the casting choice might fall more on Marvel Studios decision rather than Disney so folks should control their emotions.

"We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel's existing catalogue of comic book characters."

The big question right now though, is who could Beyoncé play as in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? We know that in the past she wanted to become Wonder Woman, the first black Wonder Woman. However, seeing as Gal Gadot has taken that position, we probably will never see her in the role.

In the Marvel space of things, it is possible she could play Captain Marvel, whose real name is Carol Danvers. However, we should point out that Carol Danvers is a white character, but we have seen several times how white comic book characters have changed over the years, so it is entirely possible for Marvel to change her race here.

Some might say Beyoncé is not a good enough actor to shine in the role. Well, we should make it clear that she received a Golden Globe nomination for the hit film, Dream Girls. Then again, that's just one film, and it doesn't prove enough that she is capable to bring Carol Danvers to life as Captain Marvel.

As we've stated above, the casting decision will likely fall in the hands of Kevin Feige and the rest of the Marvel Studios team, not Disney. This is because Marvel Studios still operates as an independent company, and if Disney guys want to keep the success going, we doubt they would want to get involve with things they do not understand.

Do we believe she will get the role? The simple answer to that is, no!
