Lucky fans at San Diego Comic-Con got to see the first glimpse of what's in store for Rick, Daryl, Morgan and the rest of the cast at The Walking Dead's Hall H panel on Friday. Don't worry, for fans who have been left hungry for more since the season finale, the world premiere teaser of Season 6 is finally here.

AMC has just released the first trailer for The Walking Dead Season 6, and there is no shortage of action-packed zombie scenes.

The trailer starts by showing a bloody Rick Grimes (played by actor Andrew Lincoln) running for his life, before he joins the gang to take the reigns in Alexandria.

"I don't take chances anymore," Grimes says.

It seems like the gang has had enough of people dying and want to start taking some serious action to fight off the flesh-eaters.

If the action-packed zombie trailer isn't enough to keep fans satisfied, AMC also announced it will premiere a Talking Dead Season 6 Preview Special, set to air on Sunday, August 23 at 8 p.m. ET. The special will be hosted by Chris Hardwick and will give fans behind-the-scenes moments of the latest season of the hit series, along with interviews with the cast and executive producers.

In Season 6, actor Corey Hawkins will join the cast to play the character Heath that is featured in the comics.

"There are other people that we're going to see throughout the season from the comics, and I'm excited for people to see it, but I don't want to tell them now. I think a few minor remixes, but some direct stuff from the comic as well, as far as these characters go," show runner Scott Gimple told EW.

Those who follow the comics will be in for a treat since this season will feature backstories that aren't seen in the graphic novels.

The 90-minute Season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead airs on Sunday, October 11 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
