Vine, the Twitter-owned app that enables users to create six-second long video loops, has received an update. It will now be simpler for users to find the most popular Vine creators they wish to follow.

The new feature will list the popular creators under the "Suggested Viners" section. These Suggested Viners' list has been painstakingly curated by the team at Vine to ensure that these creators do have content worth following.

To access the new feature, one simply needs to click on the "Find People" icon located on the top left. Here, subscribers will see a list of Vine users they likely have common interests with and have been picked out as suggestions.

"A new list of suggested Viners makes it easy to find more accounts to follow. Simply tap the Find People icon in the top left corner to see hand-picked suggestions," noted Vine's Kristian Bauer in a blog post.

Vine also improved the search functionality in June this year so that users will be able to key in a specific phrase and find the necessary content. Previously, one could only search on Vine using usernames and hashtags.

Additionally, in the past, Vine users had the ability to connect their Twitter accounts and Address Book to search for friends who were also using the app. With this new update, users will also have the option of looking outside their immediate friend circles and Twitter networks to seek content from like-minded Viners.

In March, Vine updated its app so that users could view Vine videos in 720p instead of 480p. However, this feature is currently only available for iOS users. Now, Vine has taken it a step further with the current update, which will also enable users to upload six-second 720p HD content. For those wanting to see their video loops in HD, simply head to Profile > Settings > Your Content and you will be able to check the resolution for your Vines.

The new features will be available once you update your Vine app for iOS, Windows Phone or Android.
